The Bride 10k

The inaugural Bride 10k road race in Rathcormac got off to a great start with 246 people taking part. Conditions on the day were a little tough with a strong headwind on the uphill sections during the first half of the race. The first man home was John Meade of St.Finbarr's AC in a time of 34:32, just five seconds ahead of Kevin Wilmot of Bandon AC. The women's race was won by Annmarie Power of Eagle AC in a time of 45:03.
Well done to all club runners and anyone else from Fermoy who competed.

  1. I am getting slower with every run! I seriously need to find another sport! However, Clo, Siobhan and myself did run into Fermoy after tea and cake!

  2. Michael Keating also ran in the Bride 10k under the Grange AC colours but for whatever reason he was put as a Galtee Runner AC runner!!
