Ballintotis '4'

This race used be the Castlemartyr '4' but this year they changed location to Ballintotis. I feel they have found a gem of course. It is a flat fast course, on quiet country roads. It seemed to be really popular with everybody on the night. Lets hope this race stays on the calendar.

Mallow '10'

With Dungarvan last week it was always going to have an effect on the turnout in Mallow, but Mallow still got a turn out of 503 which was slightly down on last year.

It proved to be a very exciting race with Colin Merritt of Carraig na Bhfear just winning on a spint finish from Debela Lebela of Limerick in a time of 53.17.

Brian O'Connor lead home the Grange/Fermoy contingent in a time of 63.18. Next in which was a close battle between John Fitzgeald and Darren Flynn, John just managed to pip Darren to the finish line. John finished in a time of 68.49 and Darren came in with a time of 69.11, two very good runs. Norma Harrington was our only lady competitor and she performed very well.

Mallow '10'

Last Sunday was the Dungarvan '10' and now tomorrow we have the Mallow '10' so no let up in the races. With such a big crowd last Sunday in Dungarvan, it will be interesting see what sort of turnout Mallow get with only a week between races.

I am sure though there will still be a big turnout from Grange/Fermoy. Unlike Dungarvan you can enter on the day in Mallow at a cost of €15. The race starts at 12.30pm and last entries are at 11.30am so keep that in mind and best of luck to all in Mallow tomorrow.
