Lisgoold 5km

The Lisgoold race was held on Sunday last and it must be said one of the toughest 5km routes that you will come across. First Mile was all uphill, but still an enjoyable race.

The winner of the race was Ravis Zakis from the West Waterford club in a time of 16.10

There was a turnout of 125 competitors and out of that there was 4 from Grange/Fermoy AC.

Leading home the charge was Brian O'Connor who came in 16th place with a time of 19.42. Next we had Maurice Tobin in 19th place with a time of 20.11, this was good enough to win the O50 age category. Olan Barrett came home in 25th place with a time of 20.51. Siobhan Steele came home in a time of 24.39 which was good enough 64th place and the first female over 35 well done to all.
