Over the past weekend was the Barcelona which was held in near perfect conditions and a lovely city. There was a strong contingent of Fermoy runners who made the trip to Barcelona.
Brian O'Connor came so close to breaking the magical 3 hour barrier and he had to settle for 3.00.33. Shortly in after him was Olan Barrett in a time of 3.08.03.
Joan Ennis ran a superb time of 3.28.42. Michael Ennis who was suffering from an injury for a long time managed a very good time of 3.32.24.
Another Fermoy man was Donal Tabb running his first marathon crossed the line in a time of 3.40.15, a good time for your debut. Our last Fermoy athlete was Billy who was plagued with injury leading up to the race also had a strong showing with a finishing time of 3.40.35.
Well done to all on such a good showing in Barcelona.
